Parent/Family Orientation, Investiture Ceremony and Reception
Parent Reception and Investiture Ceremony will be on Monday, September 16.
We are delighted to welcome you to St. Joseph’s College! Having a family member attend college is an exciting time, filled with big changes and plenty of anticipation. Establishing a relationship with our students’ parents and family members is vital to a successful college experience.
We very much look forward to our Aug. 28 Orientation event for freshmen and transfer students. This day marks the commencement of your child’s educational journey at St. Joseph’s, a transformative experience that will foster personal development and lead to successful careers and meaningful lives of service.
We invite you to attend two special St. Joseph’s events on Sept. 16 — our Parent/Family Reception at 4:30 p.m. and the Investiture Ceremony at 6 p.m., followed by a Reception. An invitation will follow soon.
Parents and family members can help smooth the way for college students as they take on new challenges and cope with periods of growth and independence. The events on Sept. 16 will provide you with important information and helpful strategies, so that you can help your family member thrive at St. Joseph’s.
Investiture — where new students dressed in cap and gown are formally invested as members of the St. Joseph’s College community — starts immediately after the Parent/Family Reception. St. Joseph’s College administrators, faculty, staff and students will be represented at the celebration, as your child starts their academic life leading to graduation.
Please be sure to put these momentous events on your calendar. We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to St. Joseph’s College!
